Store your mama pads in a separate bucket then your babies diapers. Soak your pads in COLD water. Hot water will fuse the blood stains to the fabric.
When you are ready to wash your pads, pour everything into the wash, spin out the soaking water, and restart the machine. Add your detergent wash in cold water, rinse in cold water, tumble dry on low or sun your pads to get rid of stains (if your comfortable with leaving your pads outside!)
